Fanendo Adi Pleased With Obafemi Martins Move To Shanghai Shenhua
Published: February 17, 2016Portland Timbers striker Fanendo Adi thinks Obafemi Martins’s move to Shanghai Shenhua is a good step for him in his career.
Both players had a chat after the Timbers pre-season game with Seattle Sounders on February 6 in in Tucson.
“He was telling me, “your fans are crazy”. I’m like, “yeah, that’s what we expect.” said Fanendo Adi, according to oregonlive.com.
“Probably it’s a good move for him. And it’s a good move for us.”
Meanwhile, Martins put an end to speculation surrounding his move to Shanghai Shenhua after he arrived in South Korea for the team’s pre-season training.
The 31-year-old Martins has penned a one-year contract with the Chinese side.
