John Ogu Nominated For Player Of The Week Award In Israel

Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu has been nominated for the Player of the Week Award in the Israeli Premier League for the last round of matches.

The Hapoel Beer Sheva star is up against Italy Shechter (Beitar Jerusalem), Eliran Atar (Maccabi Haifa), Aaron Schoenfeld (Hapoel Tel Aviv) and Amir Agayov(Bnei Yehuda) for the award.

Ogu scored his second goal in the top-flight in the Camels 2-0 win over Maccabi Netanya last Saturday, a result that kept the team five points above champions Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Teammate Anthony Nwakaeme was voted Player of the Week in Israel on match day 18.
