Abiola Dauda Explains Why He Joined Scottish Club Heart of Midlothian
Published: February 03, 2016New Heart of Midlothian acquisition Abiola Dauda has explained that he agreed to join the Scottish Premier League team in the recently concluded winter transfer market because he desires regular first-team football.
The Swedish-Nigerian managed only 4 starts for Vitesse out of a possible 21 this season before his move to Hearts, while he made the starting lineup 11 times for the Eredivisie side over the course of last season.
“I had a good feeling after I spoke with the Coach and also the feelings to play regular football was the key to bring back the joy of playing again after a hard time not playing in Vitesse, ” Dauda told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Dauda, who is 28 years today, will start training with his new teammates on Wednesday morning.
He will have to return to Vitesse at the end of his loan agreement with Hearts as his contract with the Dutch club will run out at the end of the 2016-2017 campaign.
