The exciting winger has put pen to paper on a one - year extension to his contract, meaning he is now tied to The Buffalos until June 30, 2019.
It is thought that Gent extended their agreement with Simon to fend off interest from a plethora of clubs that were interested in his signature after a breakthrough season in 2015.
The 20-year-old has found the net 26 times (18 assists) in 82 games across all competitions since he moved to Europe two years ago from Golden Boot Soccer Academy.
