Exclusive : KuPS CEO Reveals Azubuike Egwuekwe Is Expected In Finland By January 31
Published: January 13, 2016Super Eagles defender Azubuike Egwuekwe is expected to arrive in Finland on or before January 31, 2016 to begin his new adventure with Veikkausliiga outfit Kuopion Palloseura, CEO of the club, Jarmo Heiskanen, has informed allnigeriasoccer.com.
The former Warri Wolves defender earlier told a South African-based television channel that he has no agreement with KuPS but this has been dismissed by the club supremo.
“Azubuike will arrive to Kuopio as soon as he will get his working permit. My guess is, that he will join our team, by the end of this month, ” Jarmo Heiskanen told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Yes. We have signed agreement with him and I am sure that he is coming as planned.”
Italian club Atalanta and Africa powerhouse Al Ahly were interested in Egwuekwe before he committed his future to KuPS but he was lukewarm when contacted by the representatives of both teams.
