SWAN FCT Chapter Condoles With NFF Over Death Of Protocol Officer
Published: January 07, 2016The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN FCT Chapter has condoled with the Nigeria Football Federation over the death of its Head of Protocol, Ibrahim Abubakar who was shot dead by armed robbers at his house in the early hours of Wednesday in Gwarinpa, Abuja.
Chairman Kayode Adeniyi who spoke on behalf of the association after paying a condolence visitto the NFF expressed shock and urged security agencies unravel those behind the gruesome murder.
“It is unbelievable, this is a man many of us still saw and joked with on Tuesday before the close of work, only to wake up the next day to hear this sad news.
“I pray that Almighty God will give you and the family the fortitude to bear this huge loss.We also want to call on the security agencies to fish out those behind this, ” Kayode said.
The 43-year-old Ibrahim Abubukar popularly known as “Ibro,” has since been buried in Kaduna according to Islamic rites. He is survived by his wife and three sons.
