Babajide Ogunbiyi : Viborg Meant A Lot To Me And My Career
Published: January 06, 2016Nigerian - American defender Babajide Ogunbiyi has been looking back at his career with Danish Superliga side Viborg and reckons that he spent very fruitful years at the Green Ones.
The 29 - year - old finally drew the curtain on his career with Viborg at the end of December when he ran out of contract before penning an 18 - month contract with Hobro IK.
“I have been in VFF for a long time, so it’s obviously special, but I felt that I needed something new and move on. I did not know where, but now it ended up being to Hobro - and it is very fine for me, ” he told Folkeblad.
“VFF has meant a lot to me and my career. It was here that I got my chance to play in Europe. Unfortunately, it ended not as I had hoped that it would end, but that’s football. ”
The Danish Superliga is on its traditional winter break , so Hobro’s new acquisition will not be able to make his competitive debut until February 28 at the earliest.
