Birmingham City Winger Viv Solomon - Otabor Tipped To Flourish Following Sale Of Demarai Gray
Published: January 05, 2016Birmingham City coach Gary Rowett is not losing sleep over the departure of Demarai Gray to English Premier League surprise package Leicester City as he expects Viv Solomon - Otabor to step into his shoes.
The Dream Team VI trainee went the distance for the first time in his professional career in Birmingham City`s 2 - 1 win over Brentford on Saturday and showed glimpses of his potential.
“There`s loads of positivity on the pitch. Viv Solomon-Otabor, who turned 20 on Saturday, showed some really bright stuff the second-half, he has got a good future, ” Gary Rowett said to The Blues official website/
“Demarai Gray is a precocious talent, a smashing lad. I wish him all the best.
“But I do believe we can replace him. He does cause opposition problems, as well know, but we are very positive about it.”
Solomon - Otabor has recorded 14 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring against Fulham in November.
