Carl Ikeme Praised By Wolves Coach Despite Conceding Three Times
Published: December 18, 2015Super Eagles goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has been praised by Wolves manager Kenny Jackett despite conceding three times in the loss to Leeds United in a Championship clash on Thursday night.
Ikeme was beaten in a 16 - minute spell either side of half time but the scoreline would have been more flattering for the visitors if the Anglo - Nigerian did not make two saves.
“They got a lot of shots in and had one or two chances even before they did score and Carl Ikeme made two good saves.
“I thought they got on top of us physically and I didn’t think in that period that we were strong enough or our defending was good enough ,” said Jackett to wolves.co.uk.
Wolves pair Carl Ikeme and Dominic Iorfa went the distance at the Molineux Stadium, while Tom Adeyemi came off injured on the half hour mark for Leeds, who overcame their opponents 3 - 2.
