Dream Team Off To Senegal On Wednesday
Published: November 24, 2015The Dream Team VI will depart their training camp in Banjul, Gambia on Wednesday, November 25, ahead of their first game at the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations against Mali.
For the past ten days, the Nigeria U23s have been camping in the West African country and have so far played two tune - up games against Real de Banjul (3 - 0) and the Under 20 national team of Gambia ( 1 - 1 ).
After playing out a 1 - 1 draw with the Baby Scorpions, coach Samson Siaisa formally asked that his team should test their might against the same opponents on Wednesday and his request has been granted.
A 33 - man delegation will will depart the Banjul International Airport at about 2300 hours aboard Arik Airline for the 104 - mile journey to Dakar.
The arrival of skipper Azubuike Okechukwu and Taiwo Awoniyi on Tuesday means all the players named to the roster are now in camp.
