Nwankwo Kanu Doffs His Hat To Champions Enyimba
Published: November 16, 2015Former Super Eagles hero Nwankwo Kanu has doffed his hat to Enyimba after they were officially crowned champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League for the seventh time in their history.
The Aba - based side had already wrapped up the title with one game to spare after playing out a goalless draw with nearest challengers Warri Wolves a week ago, but were presented with the trophy on Sunday in Lagos.
“Congratulations Enyimba, Nigeria League champion. congrats Chairman Anyansi, coach and his crew, fans and supporters club,Aba city. Well done,” said Nwankwo Kanu via social media.
Kanu represented Enyimba’s fierce rivals Iwuanyanwu Nationale , now known as Heartland, from 1992 - 1993 before he was snapped up by Ajax Amsterdam following his impressive display at the 1993 Fifa Under 17s.
