Golden Eaglets Number One, Akpan Udoh, Pleased With Performance In Chile
Published: November 05, 2015Golden Eaglets shot - stopper Akpan Udoh has admitted that he has been pleased with his performance at the ongoing Fifa Under 17 World Cup.
The Remo Stars goalkeeper is ahead of Amos Benjamin and Chisom Chiaha in Emmanuel Amuneke’s pecking order and has been in between the pipes in every single game contested by the Nigeria U17s in Chile.
Udoh has kept cleansheets in games against USA, Australia and Brazil, while he has picked the ball from his net three times.
“I am happy with the tournament so far,” Udoh said to fifa.com.
“Anytime I keep a clean sheet, even in training when I don’t concede a goal, I’m happy for myself.”
The 16 - year - old has cited Germany and Bayern Munich number one Manuel Neuer as his role model.
