Shola Ameobi Vows To Repay Neil Lennon With Goals
Published: October 26, 2015Shola Ameobi, 34, was delighted to mark his debut for Bolton Wanderers with a goal against Leeds United on Saturday.
And the Nigeria international has vowed to repay the faith shown in him by manager Neil Lennon by scoring goals consistently for the Wanderers.
“Bolton have been kind enough to accept my services and I’m really indebted to them for that – I want to repay them and hopefully I can do that,” Ameobi told bwfc.co.uk.
“As a striker, goals breed confidence and it’s a great start for me.
“I’m not going to rest on that – I’m here to score goals and hopefully provide them too during my time here.”
At the Macron Stadium, the ex Newcastle United hero took 20 minutes to score his first goal for his new employer after coming on in the 12th minute.
