Nwankwo Kanu Congratulates Super Eagles, Urges Golden Eaglets To Beat Australia In Second Round
Published: October 25, 2015Former Nigeria international Nwankwo Kanu has congratulated the home - based Super Eagles for qualifying for the 2016 African Nations Championship and thinks the team can challenge for the title in Rwanda.
In the same vein, the former Arsenal and Ajax Amsterdam striker has urged the Golden Eaglets to improve on their performance when they face Australia in the round of 16.
“Congrats to the coaches and the boys for qualifying for CHAN. Make sure you go there and make us proud and win it, wish you all the best, ” Kanu said on Twitter.
He added : “Our U17 team is just a good wake up call, so give your best. Amunike knows that and he will fix it so boys let’s start winning and be focused.”
Nigeria will square off against Australia at the Estadio Sausalito, Viña del Mar on Wednesday.
