Ahmed Musa And Vincent Enyeama Nominated For African Player of the Year Award By CAF

Of the 37 - player shortlist announced on Sunday, only two Nigerian players in the shape of CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa and Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama were considered.
Algeria have six players that are in the running to win the award followed by Ivory Coast, who have four players, Yaya Toure, Serge Aurier, Max Alain Gradel and Gervinho.
As for the African Player of the Year based in Africa, no Nigerian footballer made the 24 - player shortlist.
Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has won the African Player of the Year award four times in a row.
