Ex Golden Eaglets Star Bright Edomwonyi Pleased To Net Hat - trick For Sturm Graz
Published: October 11, 2015Sturm Graz striker Bright Edomwonyi has insisted that his team’s win over Kraftwerk U30 on Saturday served its purpose of preparing his team for their next Bundesliga clash against Rheindorf Altach after the international break.
Sturm Graz humiliated Kraftwerk U30 15 - 1, with the ex Golden Eaglets striker scoring three goals which arrived in the 49th, 79th and 88th minute.
“We played a game on Friday with a team from Hungary which was also a good match before the league game next weekend,” said Bright Edomwonyi to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Yesterday, we also had a game which is also good for the team. We scored a lot of goals .
“It is just for us to be focused before the league game, so it is really nice that we made a lot of goals in that game yesterday.”
Bright Edomwonyi might be firing on all cylinders in friendly games for Sturm Graz since he completed his move from Liefering in the January transfer window but the fact remains he is yet to open his goalscoring account in the Bundesliga.
“I am not really under any pressure to score but as a forward I need to make goals.
“I have been really working hard towards it, I also want to help the team and myself.” the Sturm Graz number 34 added.
In all competitions this season, including the Bundesliga, OFB Cup and Europa League qualifiers, Bright Edomwonyi has been involved in 4 goals in 9 matches.
