Dele Alli Proud To Make England Debut
Published: October 10, 2015Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli was over the moon after making his competitive debut for The Three Lions in their 2 - 0 win over Estonia on Friday night.
The Anglo - Nigerian is praying that England boss Roy Hodgson will give him more first - team opportunities in future matches ahead of the 2016 European Championship in France.
“So honoured and proud to make my debut for my country last night at Wembley! Hopefully many more appearances to come ð��� , ” Dele Alli tweeted on Saturday morning.
Alli had just three minutes of playing time against Estonia, having replaced Everton star Ross Barkley in the closing minutes.
He was never officially invited to any of the national teams of Nigeria before earning a cap for England’s senior team.
