Prince Aggrey, Chima Akas And Four Home Based Players Battling To Obtain Visas To Belgium
Published: October 04, 2015Six home based players that made the Super Eagles roster for the upcoming friendlies in Belgium will no longer travel to the European country on Sunday as earlier scheduled due to a visa hitch.
Super Eagles’ Team Administrator, Enebi Achor explained that the Belgian embassy at Abuja demanded for additional documents on Wednesday but the documents could not be delivered until Friday because of the public holiday.
“We had booked tickets on Lufthansa Airline for the delegation to travel from Abuja to Frankfurt on Sunday, but that can no longer happen as the passports are still at the Embassy of Belgium, ” Enebi told thenff.com.
“As things stand now, we can only leave for Frankfurt on Monday evening, to arrive in Belgium on Tuesday, if the visas are issued on Monday.”
Femi Thomas, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Austin Oboroakpo, Paul Onobi, Prince Aggrey and Chima Akas are the affected players.
