Fifa World Ranking : Super Eagles Climb One Spot
Published: October 01, 2015Football’s governing body, Fifa, has published on its website the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking for the month of October.
Compared to their ranking in the month of September, Nigeria have climbed one spot, and have a global ranking of 52nd while in the continental ranking the Super Eagles are in tenth position.
Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Tunisia and Senegal are the best 5 teams in Africa in that order.
The Super Eagles next opponents Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon are ranked 60th and 48th respectively while potential World Cup qualifying opponents Swaziland and Djibouti occupy 135th and 206th positions respectively.
Argentina continue to top the ranking followed by Germany, Belgium, Portugal and Colombia.
The next world ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa on 5 November 2015.
