Exclusive : Emmanuel Amuneke Reports Esperance To NFF, Fifa Over Bernard Bulbwa Transfer Fee
Published: September 14, 2015
Emmanuel Amunike Academy has reported Esperance to the Nigeria Football Federation and Fifa over their failure to pay the transfer fee and agency commission following the transfer of the Nigeria youth international to the Tunisian side.
Bulbwa penned a pre - contract with The Blood and Gold in April which became activated when the Tunisian window opened for business this summer but the intermediaries that brokered the deal and his Nigerian club are yet to receive $210,000 (including $30,000 agency fees), the parties had agreed.
Esperance have claimed that their bank, Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunisie, wired the money to Deutsche Bank, but this has been disputed by Tony Udemagwuna, a United Arab Emirates - based Nigerian agent, after he contacted the beneficiary bank.
“Esperance have not paid us (the academy and agent) a dime, they sent us a fraudulent transaction since July but as I am talking to you now it did not reflect, ” Tony Udemagwuna told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“It is a fraudulent transaction because the bank in the United States said the money never left Tunisia at all.
“They said the transaction has been made but after releasing the International Transfer Certificate we found out it was incorrect.”
Like the case of Osaguona Ighodaro and Raja Casablanca, Udemagwuna has claimed that Bulbwa is unsettled in Tunisia and wants Esperance to pay up.
“I spoke with Bernard last week and he also said that he has been disturbing them to pay the fees. Emmanuel Amunike Academy wrote to the Tunisian Federation and also copied NFF and Fifa
“Esperance have been begging since that they will pay. Last two weeks I had a chat with them and they told me again that the money has been paid but they could not produce the telex copy when I asked for it,” adds Tony Udemagwuna.
As at the time of filing this report, Mahmoud Ouaddeni, the Tunisian agent who represented Esperance during negotiations, has not replied to an email sent to him at 1313 hours to verify the claims made by Tony Udemagwuna.
