Jordon Ibe Clarifies On International Future After Snubbing Nigeria For England
Published: September 13, 2015The English Football Association has beaten Nigeria over the international future of Jordon Ibe at senior level, Super Eagles manager Sunday Oliseh has revealed.
Though Ibe has played for the youth teams of England, Dream Team VI coach Samson Siasia and Sunday Oliseh had explored the possibility of the Liverpool winger pledging his future to Nigeria and the response from the player is not favorable.
“Jordon Ibe’s family informed me by a telephone call, that he was giving priority to an England call up.We wish them well,” Sunday Oliseh posted on Twitter.
Born in Bermondsey, South London 19 years ago, Jordon Ibe has represented the youth teams of England 13 times, scoring 4 goals.
Having spent his formative years at Charlton Athletic and Wycombe Wanderers, he joined Liverpool in 2012.
