Yakubu Aiyegbeni Offered To AEK Athens
Published: August 25, 2015Greece Super League new boys AEK Athens are mulling over a move for former Nigeria international Yakubu Aiyegbeni before the close of the summer transfer window, according to gazzetta.gr.
The ex Blackburn Rovers, Everton and Portsmouth star is yet to sign for a new club following his release by Reading at the end of last season.
Representatives of Yakubu Aiyegbeni have made contact with the sporting director of AEK Athens , Branko Milovanovic, over the possibility of joining the Yellow - Blacks.
The current Football League champions are expected to make a decision on the Nigerian after the league game against Xanthi on Saturday.
Yakubu would join former Nigeria youth international Macauley Chrisantus in the Greek capital if the deal materializes.
