Samson Siasia Delighted With Performance Of His Boys
Published: August 03, 2015Dream Team VI coach, Samson Siasia, was proud of his boys after they drew goalless with Congo to qualify for the African Under 23 Championship on Sunday.
But on the other hand, the retired Nigeria international reflected on the poor conversion rate of his strikers.
“Playing a match like this is always difficult, but then I knew our best tactics for this game was to go all out and attack, because if they scored a goal against us, we would be out of the race,” said Siasia to thenff.com.
“My boys did what I told them, but then we missed a couple of clear chances that are unpardonable.
“However, we did the job and we are into the African U-23 finals.”
The Nigeria Under 23s will go on break before they resume camp ahead of the All Africa Games in September.
