Yomi Elijah Hails Abdul Sule Appointment

Head Coach of Kogi United FC, Yomi Godwin Elijah has praised the state
government on its quick decision to appoint Abdul Sule as the new
chairman of the state owned football clubs.
Abdul Sule who was announced last Wednesday as Abdul Adama’s successor as the new boss of Kogi United and Confluence Queens was formerly the Technical Adviser of the Wada Boys.
He has been saddled with the responsibility to continue in consolidating the success achieved by both clubs last season.
Elijah noted Sule’s appointment was a reflection of passion and interest the Governor Idris Wada led administration has for sports in the state, adding that both clubs would get more better under the former Super Eagles defender’s tutelage.
“This is like putting a round peg in the round hole, its a perfect decision, Abdul Sule is the best for this job,” begins Elijah.
“You couldn’t have gotten a better person to replace Mallam Abdul Adama at this moment, and this is to show that the Governor is truly a sports loving man.”
Elijah continued : “Sule is a great guy, good leader, he’s close to the club, you know he was my TA and we get along easily with each other, so it will get more better for us at Kogi United to record more success by the grace of God.
“ He has been part of the team, he knows what the team need and I’m sure with a Divine support and prayers from good people of Kogi State, this club will be greater this season.”
Elijah however reiterated his side’s ambition for the coming season on gaining promotion to the elite division in the country, adding that the Confluence State club are due for such with football interest and passion abound in the state.
