Garba Lawal Disputes Claim By MS Ashdod That They Have Transferred 75,000 Euros To Kaduna United
Published: April 09, 2015
Retired Nigeria international Garba Lawal has disclosed that the domiciliary account of Kaduna United has not yet been credited with 75,000 euros.
Reports in Israel claim that MS Ashdod transferred the first installment of transfer fee in respect of the sale of Efe Ambrose to the club at the beginning of this month.
The Dolphins higher-ups have appealed to Fifa, through the Israeli Federation, to rescind its decision to deduct six points from the team.
And they have stressed that they were trying to prevent fraud after Sabo Babayaro instructed that his personal account should be credited with the transfer income instead of the corporate domiciliary account of Kaduna United.
“The money is not yet in the account, we have not received any (transaction) alert yet, ” said Garba Lawal, general manager of Kaduna United, to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“MS Ashdod have all the bank details, at the moment there is no alert. For sure, the money is on the way, our lawyers have been communicating with them.
“We are not the ones talking to Fifa but middlemen, if they finish they will come back to us.
“We are expecting the remaining half in the next few days. ”
Following the points deduction by the Israeli Federation, MS Ashdod could be relegated at the end of this season as they are currently last on the table with 21 points.
