Fifa Ranking : Super Falcons Are The Top Side In Africa
Published: March 27, 2015Football governing body, Fifa, has released its latest ranking of Women’s National Teams for the period ended March 26, 2015.
African champions Nigeria now occupy the 33rd position, dropping one spot compared to their ranking in the last quarter.
But the Falcons continue to set the pace in Africa, ahead of Ghana, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and South Africa in that order.
Our opponents at the World Cup - United States, Sweden and Australia - are ranked 2nd, 5th and 10th respectively, while Mali,the Super Falcons next foe internationally, hold 97th place.
Regarding the top 5 slots, Germany continue to top the ranking followed by USA and France, with the two remaining positions occupied by Japan and Sweden.
