Official: Pelican Stars Pulls Out Of Champion Of Champions Challenge
Published: March 20, 2015Pelican Stars have pulled out of the 2013/14 Nigeria Women Premier League Champion Of Champions Challenge against Rivers Angels.
With this development, Rivers Angels have been crowned the overall champions of the 2013/14 season.
The match which was originally fixed for the FIFA Goal Project Technical Centre on Tuesday 24th March will see Confluence Queens battle with the Federation Cup champions in an exhibition match due to get underway by 4pm Nigerian Time.
FC Robo and Martins Whyte Dove will clash to determine the overall Professional League Champions by 2pm Nigerian Time.
Speaking to women football reporter, Ademetan Abayomi, Secretary General of the NWFL, Isaac Ajisafe stated that the decision to invite Confluence Queens was taken to make sure that an exhibition game takes place on the day of the Congress.
The administrator stated the league body is looking forward to a successful congress to usher in a new season.
The draws of the 2014/15 Nigeria Women Premier League and the Nigeria Women Professional League will hold in Abuja on Tuesday 24th March by 10am at the Royal Tropicana Hotels, Utako District, Abuja.
All Delegates/Members will receive the agenda and other relevant documents for the meeting. Invitation is strictly for only the Chairman of each club.
