Head Coach of Nigeria National League, NNL side Kogi United Yomi Elijah has disclosed that much of positives were drawn from his side’s 1-1 friendly encounter against Ekiti United.
The friendly match played at Confluence Stadium saw both sides started slowly with creating of few chances.
Coach Elijah, who noted that the dominant performance from his boys would have been appreciated with a victory, believes the Wada Boys will get even better before the season.
“I’m very satisfied as you know we are preparing for the big league ahead of us, and we believe by the grace of God, we will get it right.
“You can see the first team we played in the first half is different from the second, we don’t want to a second fiddle team and I’m very happy we were able to play 98% of the team.
“What we need now is to be patient in front of goal because if you play more than any team in this world and you don’t get a goal, it means nothing.
“So we are going to work on our finishing and a bit of entertaining game with much of goals, ” Elijah said.
Kogi United are expected to take the form to the state FA Cup semi final match against Federal Medical Centre, FMC FC next Wednesday in Lokoja.
