Akinjide Idowu Says Flying Eagles Will Not Take Their Foot Off The Pedal Against Ivory Coast
Published: March 14, 2015Flying Eagles midfielder Akinjide Idowu says he does not expect Nigeria to do Senegal a favour by picking the maximum points when they clash with Ivory Coast on Saturday.
The hosts will progress to the semi - finals plus qualify for the Fifa Under 20 World Cup if they defeat Congo, and the Flying Eagles beat Ivory Coast.
“We are not thinking that way (that Nigeria hold Senegal’s destiny,” Idowu said, according to thenff.com.
“The truth is that we are not concerned about any team but ourselves and so we are focused on winning the maximum points against Cote d’Ivoire, we will not take it easy.”
Nigeria will square off against Ghana or Mali in the last four next Wednesday.
