Shooting Stars To Tackle Sharks In Gold Cup Final

Nigeria Premier League club sides, Shooting Stars and Sharks FC have
their secured their tickets in the final of the Gold Cup Pre-Season
Tournament.
In the two semi-final matches played at the practice pitch A and B of the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium, Sharks defeated Supreme Court FC 1-0, while 3SC edged Kogi United on penalties to qualify for the final after regulation time ended
1-1.
Ifeanyi Inyam, got Sharks solitary goal as he tapped in a right wing cross and stole the show for his side.
In the other semi final, Kogi United paid for their wastefulness in front of goal, as they lost 4-3 on penalties to Shooting Stars.
At the end of 90 minutes, the game ended 1-1.
Highly rated attacking midfielder, Destiny Ashadi beat the offside trap in the 22nd minute to shoot Kogi United to the lead.
Destiny, who kept tongue wagging with his deft touches saw his amazing free kick hit the woodwork in the dying moments of the first half.
United were made to pay for their misses as Okiki Afolabi levelled for the Oluyole Warriors the 60th minute via a goal mouth scramble.
Olaitan Adebayo should have snatched the winner for the Wada Boys, but his finish let him down.
United duo, Petter Owecho and Adebayo, lost their side kicks.
The final match between 3SC and Sharks will be played on Friday at the mainbowl of the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium by 4pm.
