Samson Siasia Back In Comfort Zone, Appointed Under 23 National Team Coach
Published: October 16, 2014Retired Nigeria international Samson Siasia has been appointed coach of the Under 23 National Team, otherwise known as the Dream Team, the Nigeria Football Federation officially announced on Thursday morning.
This is the second time the former Nantes star will tutor the Nigeria Under 23s , having steered them to the final of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Samson Siasia also led the Flying Eagles to the 2005 Under 20 World Cup hosted by Holland, where the lost to an Argentina inspired Messi in the final.
He will be assisted by former Shooting Stars and Sunshine Stars coach Fatai Amoo, while the Technical and Development Committee will recommend the other members of the technical crew in the coming weeks.
The duration of the contract Samson Siasia agreed with the Nigeria Federation chiefs as well as financial package were not disclosed in the press release.
