Supreme Court Consolidate NNL spot After TEAP 3-0 rout
Published: October 01, 2014
After pummeling ‘returnee’ TEAP 3-0 to consolidate its place in the Nigeria National League, NNL, Supreme Court FC Technical Adviser Fatai Osho has heaped praise on his Boys over their outstanding performances so far in the current season.
Coach Osho who spoke shortly after the long awaited encounter decided at Area 3 Pitch in Abuja said that his side did not underrate bitter rivals, Abuja-based TEAP FC despite the travails which the private-owned club have been found.
Two first half goals each from Emmanuel David and Friday Jacob and another from top striker Eric Eric before stoppage time in the second half ensured that the leading Abuja-based football club, Apex Boys consolidated their place in NNL even before playing their remaining league matches.
Osho who though admitted that TEAP FC gave his side tough fight added “it is unfortunate that TEAP which I believe are very good side found themselves where they are. As you can see, the team gave us tough time but at the end of 90 minutes, we had the day.
“I have always said that my team have all it takes to confront any team, anytime and anywhere in the country as long as a level playing ground is provided. Notwithstanding, we will continue pushing hard till the end of the season.
“Then by next term, we will start on a fresh note. I believe the management will be gracious enough to ensure more funding to the team”
On his part, one of the goal Scorers Eric Eric who has been sterling in his performance since he teamed up with the club this season stated “I’m happy scoring once again. It has been my desire to score in every match. We play as a team not minding who puts the ball inside the net.”
