Bayelsa United Striker Frank Egharevba Dedicates Hat - trick To Sick Mom
Published: September 19, 2014Bayelsa United attacker Frank Egharevba has expressed his delight at scoring a hat - trick in his side’s 3 - 1 win over Nembe City in the last round of matches in Nigeria’s topflight.
And the 24 - year - old has dedicated his first ever hat - trick since he turned professional to someone very close to his heart.
“This was my first hat - trick in the Nigerian League. I am dedicating it to my mom because for the past year she has been sick, and she only started recovering about two weeks ago. Thank God, she’s getting better.
“It was a fine game for us. Nembe was my former team and they wanted to bring my morale down before the game, so I decided to prove myself. I thank God I was able to score those three goals, ” Frank Egharevba said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
The Bayelsa United number nine is not resting on his laurels, and reckons that the club will not settle for anything less than the maximum points when they confront Enyimba this weekend.
“We are not going to Aba to even pick a point but to win. Our position on the league table is not good. I have this belief that the match is winnable,” he added.
Before his switch to Bayelsa United, Frank Egharevba turned out for Dynamite Force, Bendel Insurance, Akwa United and Nembe City.
