Super Eagles Drop In Fifa Ranking
Published: September 18, 2014On Thursday morning, the official website of Fifa released the latest ranking of National Teams.
Following their poor start to the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifying games, the Super Eagles have dropped four places are now ranked in number 37th position, compared to last month’s ranking.
In the continental ranking, Nigeria are the sixth best team in Africa, behind Algeria, Ivory Coast, Tunisia and Ghana, who are the top four teams in the zonal ranking in that order.
Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Netherlands and Belgium are the top five countries in the world.
The Super Eagles rivals in qualification for the AFCON, Congo, South Africa and Sudan , are ranked 48th, 67th and 133rd respectively.
The next ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com on 23rd October, 2014.
