Amkar Perm To Appeal Fegor Ogude Three - Game Ban
Published: August 20, 2014Amkar Perm say they will be appealing the three - match ban handed to Fegor Ogude by the Russian Federation after he was red carded in a Russian Premier League game two days ago.
The defensive midfielder was shown a straight red card after a violent challenge on Kuban Krasnodar’s Anton Sosnin.
When the incident was reviewed at a meeting on Wednesday, the Disciplinary Committee decided to ban him for three games.
“We certainly will appeal the decision to disqualify Ogude. This decision, in our opinion, was issued unfairly,” an Amkar Perm official told R-Sport
If the appeal is rejected, Ogude will miss games against Zenit St Petersburg, Spartak Moscow and Ural.
The Nigeria international has been involved in all the matches played by Amkar Perm in the championship this season.
