Efe Ambrose And Celtic Allowed Into Champions League Play Off Round
Published: August 08, 2014Scotland champions Celtic have qualified for the play - off round of the Champions League after UEFA ruled that Legia Warsaw fielded an ineligible player, Bartosz Bereszynski in the second leg, third qualifying round which they lost 2-0 on the pitch.
Thus, Celtic were awarded a 3 - 0 victory and given that they lost the first leg tie 4 - 1, they have advanced to the play -off round at the expense of Legia Warsaw as they scored a goal away from home.
Nigeria international Efe Ambrose was not fielded in Wednesday’s tie after he was sent off in the first leg held in Poland.
