Super Eagles Train For Two And A Half Hours In First Practice Session
Published: June 12, 2014The Super Eagles first training session held at Estádio Brinco de Ouro
on Wednesday afternoon lasted for two and a half hours, beginning at
exactly 1600 hours local time and ended in the evening at about 1830
hours.
What is remarkable is that no Nigerian journalist attended the training session (even though some are known to be in Brazil) despite the first 15 minutes open to the press, per Fifa regulations.
The practice session was basically routine, consisted of working with the ball, plus aerial and tactical sessions were conducted under the watchful eyes of manager Stephen Keshi.
After the squad returned to Vitoria Hotel Concept, they were visited by some distinguished guests - Jonas Donizette, the mayor of Campinas and Alvaro Negrao, president of Brazilian Serie C outfit, Guarani.
Thursday’s workout will begin at 1600 hours at the same venue.
