Fenerbahce President Warns English Clubs Emenike Is NOT For Sale
Published: June 04, 2014Fenerbahce attacker Emmanuel Emenike is being linked with several Premiership teams ahead of the re - opening of the transfer window.
The Nigeria international has gone on to distance himself from the reports, insisting that there has not been any contact whatsoever with Manchester City, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur.
Fenerbahce President, Aziz Yıldırım, has taken the same position by warning interested suitors that the striker is not for sale even if they table a bid of 20 million Euros.
“He contributed so much to the team last season and our goal next season is even bigger. The coaches have not decided to sell him.
“He should concentrate on the World Cup but I can see the local and international media has so much media coverage on this subject.
“However, we do not intend to sell our footballer, ”Aziz Yıldırım was quoted as saying by Fanatik.
The 27 - year - old put himself in the shop window at the 2013 African Cup of Nations, netting 4 goals to emerge as the top scorer of the tournament.
