Finnish Cup Winners, RoPS Support Campaign To Bring Back Our Girls
Published: May 16, 2014Finnish Cup winners RoPS have joined the global campaign to create awareness for the release of Nigerian girls abducted by Islamic militants.
Recall that last month, precisely April 15, members of Boko Haram kidnapped more than 250 girls who were writing the Secondary School Certificate Examination at Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno.
Finland based agency TopSpot, who collaborates with RoPS on the transfer of footballers, has tweeted a picture of players and officials of the club , with eight banners having the inscription #BringBackOurGirls.
RoPS have on their payroll three Nigerian players - defenders Faith Friday Obilor and Ndukaku Alison plus midfielder Mbachu Uchenna Emenike.
Between them, they have made 18 appearances in the Veikkausliiga, the top tier of Finnish football, so far this season.
