Ohi Omoijuanfo Scores Wonder Goal For Lillestrom
Published: April 06, 2014
Lillestrom midfielder Ohi Omoijuanfo has commented on the 4 - 1 victory over Sandnes Ulf in the Norwegian Premier League on Sunday.
The Norway youth international netted his first goal in the Tippeligaen since May 2013; adding more gloss to the scoreline with his 90th minute screamer from 25 yards.
“The first half was okay, they had a couple more chances than us. But in the second half we had more chances and we had the possession!
“I scored from 25 meters. I received the ball from a teammate and I had a shot on the first touch. The ball hit both of the poles before it went in,” says Ohi Omoijuanfo to allnigeriasoccer.com.
Sandnes Ulf were threatening a comeback with the scoreline reading 2 - 1 until referee Tom Hagen dismissed Aksel Skjølsvik with 13 minutes left.
And Omoijuanfo has admitted that the incident changed the outcome of the meeting in Lillestrom’ s favour.
“Sandnes Ulf had to defend more because of the red card but I felt we were controlling the game before the red card,” the Norway youth - teamer said.
The highly rated youngster, who has trained with Manchester City in the past, has a contract with the Canaries until the end of the 2016 season.
After two rounds of games in the Premier League, LSK sit second on the table, 2 points behind Stabæk who have a hundred percent record so far.
