Warri Wolves Stopper, Ike ThankGod Blames Poor Refereeing For Dismissal
Warri Wolves center half Ike ThankGod has blamed the overzealous Sudanese referee for his dismissal against CA Bizertin in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday afternoon.

The experienced defender took the walk of shame in the 42nd minute for a handball offense but he has made it clear that the incident occurred outside the 18 - yard box and does not warrant a sending off.

“Maybe that was their plan. The ball touched my hand outside the 18, it was a shocking decision by the referee. I would not know if playing a man less affected the outcome of the match because I am not God.

“The coach was not angry with me. The referee was not fair in his calls throughout the game, even after my dismissal,” Ike ThankGod said to allnigeriasoccer.com.

The 29 - year - old paired new recruit Oke Ogagotewho in central defense before manager Paul Aigbogun introduced Nigeria international Azubuike Egwuekwe in the second half to beef up the defense following the dismissal of ThankGod.
