New Emmanuel Emenike, Isaac Success Now In Granada, Excited With Move
Published: March 16, 2014Nigeria youth international Isaac Success, hailed as the new Emmanuel Emenike, says he is delighted to start his professional career with Granada.
Recall that the 18 - year - old starlet has appended his signature to a four - year contract with Udinese but the Italians have shipped him out on loan to Granada.
Success and another Nigeria youth - teamer Henry Uche Agbo arrived Granada on Sunday and will begin practice with the La Liga side this week.
“I feel so excited knowing that this is the best opportunity for me to start up my career with a professional club.
“I’m not just going there to make up the numbers but to help Granada achieve what they have never been achieved before in the history of the club.
“I appreciate I will be playing alongside a lot of other experienced professionals, but I won’t have problems fitting in.
“I do have what it takes to excel as a professional player, I know it is not easy but I will try to cope with the challenges that I will be facing and try to adapt,” Isaac Success, who left for Spain on Sunday morning, told allnigeriasoccer.com.
Adding to his previous statement, the CAF Under 17 championship golden boot winner said :
“Immediately I was sent on loan to Granada I knew it was a challenge for me to prove a point and do something they have not seen for years.
“So it is left for me to work hard and ensure I get into the first team at Granada. I’m determined to make something tangible out of my young career.”
The 1.8 million euros transfer fee paid by Udinese for the signature of Isaac Success is a domestic transfer record, eclipsing the figure ($1m) Al Merriekh paid to Enyimba for Stephen Worgu in 2008.
For a start, Isaac Success will earn 180,000 euros every year at Udinese.
The deal that took both Isaac Success and Uche Agbo to Udinese was brokered by Oliver Noah of Noga Sports Management in collaboration with Dominic Egbukwu of Soccer Sports Management Limited.
