Supreme Court FC Shrug Off Shortfalls, Lay Ambush For Wada Boys
Published: February 28, 2014Despite not getting a win in their last Nigeria National League (NNL) game Captain of Supreme Court FC Maha Musa has expressed optimism that his side will be all out to claim all three points when Kogi United come calling in Abuja.
Speaking ahead of day 4 of NNL matches taking place in various centres this weekend, Musa who assured fans that they are ready to put behind previous result and concentrate on the forthcoming game slated for Sunday at Old Parade Ground, Area 10 Garki, Abuja.
According to him “our team is blending gradually as the season progresses. Though it has not been easy, all need know is to take each match as it comes.
“My teammates are already mentally prepared. It is just that when we don’t win, some people think otherwise.
“We that play don’t play to lose and by God’s grace, we will achieve our aim
“So far, there is no cause for alarm. Our fans should be rest assured that we won’t let them.
“Where we are currently on the table is not what really matter but where we want to be as the season go on.”
Earlier, Head Coach of Supreme Court of Abuja Henry Haggai had declared that all noticeable lapses in the previous matches will be corrected.
Coach Haggai who was visibly unhappy after his game against Wikki Toursit of Bauchi observed that his team wouldn’t have lost if they played to instruction from the blast of the whistle.
He said “honestly my players didn’t play their game early enough in the match. I came here to pick a point but it has went the way I didn’t expect.
“For me, the players are good enough to have even won the game. After the first half, they were sorry.
“Coming into the second half, it was unfortunate the couldn’t get any response from the home team. all the same, we will go back and work more.”
