Done Deal : Samuel Opara Pens Two - Year Contract With FK Shumen
Published: February 27, 2014Little known Nigerian striker Samuel Santos Opara has appended his signature to a contract with Bulgarian club FK Shumen 1929 from Turkish Akcakocaspor.
The 21 - year - old was over the moon after committing his future to FK Shumen for the next 24 months, and has admitted that the transfer is a step up in his career.
“I am happy to come to Bulgaria. I would have signed for a second league team , PFC Marek Dupnitsa but I had problems processing a visa to join them at their training camp,”Samuel Opara said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“So the coach advised my agent to take me to FK Shumen until the end of this season.
“While they are prepared to let me leave in June, I have signed a contract for the next two years.
“Who knows I may have the chance of playing in the Premier League next.”
Samuel Opara will sport the number 15 jersey for the remainder of the season.
