Under 17: Nigeria Drawn Against Defending Champions Mexico
Published: August 26, 2013Three - time Under 17 World Champions, the Golden Eaglets have been drawn in the same group as defending champions Mexico for the 2013 tournament holding in the United Arab Emirates from 17 October to 8 November.
Iraq and Sweden will join the Under 17 powerhouses in Group F of the 16 - team tournament.
Nigeria and Mexico will meet on October 19, two days after the start of the competition.
Uruguay, New Zealand, Côte d'Ivoire and Italy will compete in Group B while Croatia, Morocco, Panama and Uzbekistan will lock horns in Group C.
Africa's fourth representative Tunisia will battle Venezuela, Russia and Japan in Group D.
The draw ceremony was conducted in the Al-Saqr conference suite at Fairmont Bab El Bahr Hotel.
Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Sharjah, Dubai and Al Ain were confirmed by the game's governing body FIFA as host cities.
