Official : Ex River Plate Striker Abubakar Bello - Osagie Joins Sliema Wanderers.

According to reporting by maltafootball.com, Nigerian attacker Abubakar Bello - Osagie has signed a deal with  Sliema Wanderers.

The financial term and length of contract were not disclosed by the Malta Premier League club.

Bello - Osagie spent the last six months with Valletta after a successful spell with Qormi.

In addition, he has represented River Plate (Argentina) plus Brazilian clubs Internacional , Vasco da Gama and Caxias.

The 24 - year - old will compete with former Nigeria youth - teamer Stanley Ohawuchi for a spot in attack.

Sliema Wanderers were knocked out of the Europa League in the first qualifying round, losing 2 - 1 on aggregate to Khazar Lankaran.
