Fifa Ranking : Nigeria In The 35th Position
Published: August 08, 2013On Thursday morning, Football's governing body, Fifa released its monthly ranking of national teams. The Super Eagles are now ranked in the 35th position.
Compared to last month's ranking, Nigeria, who are the 5th best team in Africa, did not make any progress or decline.
World Cup qualifying group opponents Malawi, Kenya and Namibia are ranked 118th, 129th and 131st respectively .
In the continental ranking, the Flames are ranked 33rd, Harambee Stars are placed 36th while the Brave Warriors are 37th.
European and World champions Spain continue to top the ranking followed by Germany, Colombia and Argentina.
In that order, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Mali and Algeria are the top four teams in Africa.
The next Fifa Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published by the official website of Fifa, fifa.com on September 12 , 2013.
