Exclusive: SAMMY SODJE Discussing With Greek Clubs
Published: October 21, 2012
Free agent Sam Sodje will travel to the United States in the coming days to have surgery on his troublesome knee, the Anglo - Nigerian defender has specially informed allnigeriasoccer.com.
Sodje has been without a club since the end of last campaign when his expired contract was not renewed by League One side Notts County. His search for a new club recently took him to Greece.
''I did not go to Greece for trials, went to negotiate with a couple of clubs. I have an appointment with my doctor to know the date I would be traveling to the United States to have surgery on my knee. I am doing a little knee clean up. So, I'll sign for a club when I am back,'' Sodje told allnigeriasoccer.com in a telephone conversation.
Sodje did not reveal the names of the Greek clubs he is discussing with. In the summer of 2010, he had been courted by Skoda Xanthi.
