Official: Chukwuani signs new Lyngby deal ahead of permanent transfer to Sturm Graz
Published: March 20, 2024With a statement on their official website, Danish Superliga club Lyngby Boldklub have announced that Denmark U21 international of Nigerian descent Tochi Chukwuani has extended his contract until the end of the year.
The extremely talented midfielder has been sold to Austrian Bundesliga outfit Sturm Graz and the move will be completed in the summer when the transfer window opens for business.
A product of the Nordsjaelland academy, Chukwuani moved to Lyngby on a two-year deal in the summer of 2022 and would have departed the Vikings on a free transfer at the end of the season if he didn't sign a contract extension.
The three-time Austrian champions have confirmed that Chukwuani has agreed a long-term contract until 2028.
Overall, the Danish-Nigerian young star appeared in 77 matches in the Superliga, scoring seven goals while producing three assists.
Chukwuani has vowed to give his all to Lyngby in the last ten games of the season so that they can end their collaboration in style
Sturm Graz had been monitoring the progress of the Danish-Nigerian midfielder before tying up a deal for the 20-year-old, who has been named in the latest Denmark U21 squad for their March internationals.
He has registered five goals in thirty-seven appearances for Denmark's youth teams.
